This coffee comes directly from Mauricio Penalba’s La Innovacion farm. He has been paid 5.72 €/kg of raw coffee, which was more than two times the Fairtrade price. The farm is named as Innovation since Mauricio likes to experiment with new things. Mauricio began to experiment with different coffee varieties, with fruit and trees to achieve an ideal coexistence between them. He uses only organic fertilisers and this together with fruits and trees has created a microclimate that habitat different varieties of birds and squirrels.
